Nearing the "end" of my Leatherworking journey for my Hunter.
I'm geared to the teeth. 2588 Gearscore on WoWHeroes for your number crunchers. That's between 4k and 6k of hurt on some mob depending on group synergy and buffs. Enough to kill whatever raid target. High end leatherworking can help with that. +130 AP bracer lining. Super cheap personal Epic Armor kits. 450 LW patterns for 245 iLevel gear.
Well, this sunday I won a 245 LW pattern for a Mail Breastplate. I won the roll, then had another LW whine and cry over the pattern because he had 450 LW opposed to my 436 LW. Well the last 14 points of LW are just armor kits or blue items you grind for skill. Not much else.
Why burn 14 skillups on crap? Just for a number. Now that I have a 450 pattern to make, I'm motivated. Also, I have a dozen Arctic Fur on hand and 18 Frozen orbs. Should be short work.
This other LW lost the roll but won the LW pattern. I took my lumps and learned an important lesson. If you're gonna raid Endgaim 25 man content, you better Max Out your dammed LW skill. People aren't gonna care why you're not maxxed. It's just a number you have to have. 450 enchanting for Endgame Formulas. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Sullen, but not out. I kept kiling stuff and rollin on tropy after tropy after drop. Horrible rolls all. Again drops the exact same 450 LW pattern for the Mail Chest. No other LWs in raid. I got the pattern. Happy me. The rest of you suckas and bite me!
Gotta grind out some armor kits for the AH.
